Six Flags Magic Mountain
The structure behind the solar
At Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, solar carports bring shade and energy generation to visitor parking on a remarkable scale. M Bar C installed the carport structures spanning over 637,000 square feet of parking and supporting 12.37 MW of solar panels.
The steel carport structures form the foundation for the overhead solar arrays. Below, covered parking provides shade for guests arriving at the park. Above, the panels put that same space to work generating energy.
The installation reflects M Bar C’s experience delivering large commercial carport structures with self-performing crews. Magic Mountain joins a portfolio that also includes a separate Six Flags installation at Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California.
